The only prayer of the petitioner is that the stay application (Annexure P-2), which is pending before the learned Commissioner-
respondent No.1, be ordered to be decided expeditiously.
It is contended by the counsel that the stay application was filed by the petitioner on 28.01.2006, but the same has not been decided as yet.
As a period of more than nine months has elapsed since the filing of the application for stay, therefore, we direct respondent No.1 to decide the stay application (Annexure P-2) within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
Petition is disposed of accordingly.
