The petitioner has sought a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to admit the petitioner in B.D.S. Course in Government Dental College, Patiala or Amritsar.
Similar claim in respect of another candidate in the same year has been dealt with by me in a Civil Writ Petition No.19917 of 2005, Megha Anand versus State of Punjab and others, today and it has been found that the petitioner is not entitled to seek admission in the Government Dental College against a vacant seat on account of counselling conducted for M.B.B.S. course on 30.9.2005. However, in the present case, the petitioner was granted provisional admission in Government Dental College, Patiala vide order dated 7.11.2005 passed by this Court and petitioner is continuing with the course in the said college and has appeared as regular student from the said college.
In view of the said fact, learned counsel for respondent No.3 states that he shall have no objection for continuation of the petitioner as

regular student of the Government Dental College, Patiala, provided the petitioner deposits the fee of Rs.2,20,000/- for the entire course with the said college as on account of non admission of the petitioner, the seat with the respondent-institute shall remain vacant for the entire course.
Learned counsel for the petitioner states that out of such total fee, Rs.1,05,000/- has already been deposited with the respondent-institute and balance of Rs.1,15,000/- shall be deposited on or before 30.9.2007 in one or two instalments.
In view of the above, the admission of the petitioner to Government Dental College, Patiala in B.D.S. Course for the session 2005-06, as granted by this Court vide order dated 7.11.2005, is made absolute subject to payment of fee aforesaid.
The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly.
