The petitioner apprehends her arrest in connection with Pasraha P.S. Case No. 196 of 2025, G.R. No. 2379 of 2025 instituted under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 109(1), 76, 303(2), 352, 351(2), 351(3), 3(5) of the B.N.S.

As per the prosecution case, on the date of occurrence when the informant went to the house of his uncle for demanding documents related to land, petitioner along with other named accused persons abused him, wrongfully confined him in the house and brutally assaulted him. Petitioner is alleged to have assaulted with iron rod on the head of informant causing injury to him. When the wife of informant, who was pregnant, came to save, coaccused Renu Kumari pulled her hair and threw her on the ground causing abdominal pain. Co-accused Chandradeo Das snatched

golden chain from the neck of the informant.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case. Informant is own nephew of the husband of petitioner. There is land dispute between the parties. Petitioner and her son have lodged two cases against the family members of the informant and to create pressure for compromise in those cases, the informant has lodged the present case with false allegation against the petitioner. Petitioner is a lady having no criminal antecedent. Petitioner undertakes to co-operate in the investigation and trial.

Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.
