Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and

learned A.P.P. for the State.

The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 352, 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Sections 66(c)/66(d) of the Information Technology Act.

As per the prosecution story, petitioner is alleged to have created fake social media accounts to defame informant’s daughter and her family with intention of breaking her marriage.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the present case. Further submission is that petitioner is distantly related with the informant and the informant wanted to marry his daughter with the petitioner and when the petitioner refused, this false and fabricated case has

been lodged against the petitioner. It is next submitted the marriage of the daughter of the informant has already been solemnized with the person with whom the informant had settled his daughter’s marriage. Petitioner has got no criminal antecedent and he undertakes to cooperate in the investigation and trial.
