2 . The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Phulwarisharif P.S. Case No. 1867 of 2025 registered for the offence under Sections 115(2), 126(2), 318(4), 308(5), 303(2), 352, 351(2), 351(3) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

The petitioner is alleged to be one of the associates who misbehaved with and assaulted the informant, snatched his gold chain, threatened him with death, and participated in extorting money from him, including facilitating the forcible transfer of Rs. 35,000/- through a QR code. It is further alleged that the accused persons took photographs of the informant’s family members and forcibly recorded objectionable videos of

the informant.

4 . The petitioner is in custody since 16.01.2026 and has one criminal antecedent. The name of the petitioner has come in the confessional statement of the co-accused Md. Azad.

Considering the nature and gravity of the allegations and the fact that the petitioner has been regularly looting innocent people and has allegedly looted the informant, which is apparent from the materials collected during the investigation, I am not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner.

6 . Accordingly, this application for regular bail stands

rejected.

7 . It is made clear that any observation made herein is prima facie in nature and limited solely for the purpose of adjudication of the present bail application.
