Upon query, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has been informed that the same is still pending for final hearing.

Learned State counsel submits that if the same is pending, it will be taken to its logical conclusion immediately.

If the contention of the petitioner is correct, it is unfortunate that for disposal of a case (Land Settlement Case No. 01 of 2016-17), the petitioner invoked the writ jurisdiction in the year 2017 and eight years later, it is still pending.

In that background, the concerned respondent (District Magistrate-cum-Collector, Bhojpur at Ara) is directed to immediately take up the matter, if it is still pending and dispose it of in next three months to avoid any adverse comment thereafter.
