28.01.2023 issued under the signature of the Assistant Inspector General, the Prohibition Excise & Registration Department, Bihar, whereunder purportedly in terms of Section 23 of the Societies Registration Act, 1860, the registration of the

petitioner association namely, the Bihar Administrative Service Association, has been cancelled, with an additional direction to cease its activities, and with a direction to the District Magistrate, Patna to take over the assets of the association within 15 days (Annexure-15).

(ii) to issue an appropriate

writ/order/direction in the nature of certiorari for quashing the initiation of the proceedings through letter no. 1134 dated 10.12.2022 issued under the signature of the Assistant Inspector General, the Prohibition Excise & Registration Department, Bihar, whereunder a show cause notice has been issued against the petitioner association for cancelling its registration (Annexure-6).
