The petitioners apprehend their arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable u/s 341/ 323/ 504/ 506/ 44/ 495/ 498(A) of the IPC and Section ¾ of the D.P. Act.

Allegedly, the petitioners along with other co-accused persons are said to have demanded car as dowry and put pressure to leave her job and do household work. They also retained her entire ornaments, cash and passbook and said that they will keep all her things if she will not fulfill their demand of car. It is further alleged that petitioner no.2 has performed

second marriage with informant’s husband.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that petitioners are quite innocent and have committed no offence. They have been falsely implicated in this case by the informant. Petitioners have no knowledge about the alleged occurrence and has no concern with the alleged occurrence. It is also submitted that petitioners are distant relatives and has no concern with the informant. Informant has filed this case against the petitioners and his family members for grabbing the land and house of the petitioners. From perusal of the FIR itself, it appears that as per allegation, both the petitioners are father and daughter and petitioner no. 2 Ranju Kumari, has solmenized second marriage with the husband of the informant Vidya Kumari. There is no iota of allegation against them regarding subjecting torture to the informant for demand of dowry. Petitioners have no criminal antecedent.

Learned APP for the State opposed the prayer for bail.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and keeping in view of allegation against the petitioners, let the above named petitioners, be released on bail, in the event of their arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of six weeks from today, on furnishing bail
