The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Lakhisarai P.S. Case No. 11 of 2018 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 147, 148, 149, 353, 307 of the Indian Penal Code; Section 27 of the Arms Act and Sections 16, 17, 18, 20 and 23 of U.A.P. Act.

As per the allegation, 43 named accused persons including the petitioner as also 40-45 unknown persons alleged to be naxals by the police, had assembled for commission of offence, according to the information received by the police. The further allegation is that there were firing and cross-firing, as a result, one Constable got injured by the bullet injury.

The petitioner is a naxal. The naxals have fired

upon the police and injuries have been caused to the police party. The petitioner is in custody since 28.08.2024. Nine serious and similar cases are pending against the petitioner.
