The petitioners apprehend their arrest in connection with Sohsarai P.S. Case No. 162 of 2014, G.R. No. 3847 of 2014, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498A, 341, 323, 324, 34 of the IPC and ¾ of Dowry Act.

The present case was lodged by the informant, who is wife of petitioner no. 1, on 13.11.2024 with allegation that her

marriage was solemnized with petitioner no. 1 in the year 2002. Two sons were born out of wedlock of the couple. Thereafter, the petitioners along with their family members tortured her for non-fulfillment of demand of dowry and lastly, they ousted her from her matrimonial house.

The learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners are innocent and have falsely been implicated in this case. Subsequent to the present case, the informant lodged a case (Mahila P.S. Case No. 132 of 2016) against petitioner no. 1 and his family members with similar allegation. Petitioner no. 1 was put on trial in that subsequent case and he was acquitted. His further submission is that petitioner no. 1 and informant took a decree of divorce on the basis of mutual consent under Section 13B of Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. Subsequent to the decree of divorce, she remarried with one Vikram Kumar, who received the notice in the present bail petition, but none appeared on behalf of opposite party no. 2.

Considering the above-mentioned facts and circumstances, let the petitioners, in the event of their arrest or surrender within four weeks before the learned court below, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten
