8 08-05-2025 As far as the third case i.e. Criminal Appeal (DB) No. 99 of 2018 is concerned, the learned counsel for the appellants of the aforesaid cases has referred to the supplementary affidavit filed by one Priti Devi, daughter-in-law of the appellant of the third case wherein it has been stated that the sole appellant namely, Tej Narayan Jha @ Tej Narain Jha, has died on 18.01.2022 and in support thereof, a death certificate issued by the Government of Bihar, (Sadar Hospital Saharsa) under the signature of Registrar (Birth & Death), Sadar Hospital, Saharsa dated 04.05.2022 showing that the aforesaid appellant has died on 18.01.2022, has been annexed.

2. We don’t have any reason to disbelieve the fact that the appellant of Criminal Appeal (DB) No. 99 of 2018 has died during the pendency of the said appeal, in view of the aforesaid

facts and circumstances, hence, the said appeal i.e. Criminal Appeal (DB) No. 99 of 2018 stands abated and is accordingly disposed off.

3. As far as the other three appeals are concerned, list the same on 12^th of May, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. as the first case.
