This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioners regarding settlement of land of Mouza Badanda, Thana no. 232, Anchal Barari, District Katihar, Khata No. 337, Khesra No. 822 area 44 decimals khesra No. 812 area 4.42 acres, khesra No. 823 area 1,

39 acres, khesra no. 823 area 1. 39 acres, khesra no. 819 area 2.13 Acres, and khata No. 331 Khesra No. 355 area 1.60 acres, khesra No. 349 area 1. 74 acres, over which they are in cultivating possession since the last 50 years and earlier in 1992 the office of the Hon’ble Chief Minister Bihar directed the learned collector to settle the land in accordance with law but no action was taken.

3 . At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners prays to dispose of this writ petition with direction to the Divisional Commissioner, Purnea ( respondent No. 2) to dispose of the representation filed by petitioners i.e., Annexture 4 of the writ petition.

In view of the nature of grievance, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2 (the Divisional Commissioner, Purnea) to dispose of the aforesaid representation and to pass a reasoned and speaking order after hearing all the parties in accordance with law preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt/production of the copy of this order.
