The petitioner has filed the present writ application for a direction to the respondents to grant him time-bound promotion in appropriate pay-scale and make payment of arrears of salary, as admissible.

A supplementary counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of Magadh University stating therein that the petitioner has been granted time-bound promotion and the consequential monetary benefits for the period 31.03.1994 to 31.03.1996 in the pay-scale of 1320-2040 and from 01.04.1997 to July 1999 in

the pay-scale of 4500-7000 have been calculated, which comes to Rs. 60,458/- and the process of payment has been initiated.

In view of the clear-cut affidavit filed by the respondent- Magadh University, the University is directed to make payment of the aforesaid amount in favour of the petitioner, within a period of one month from the date of receipt/ production of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid observations and directions, the present writ application is disposed off.
