Petitioner has inter alia prayed for following reliefs

in the paragraph No.1 of the writ petition:-

“1. That this is an application for issuance of writ in the nature of certiorari, order or orders, direction or directions for the following reliefs:-

(A) For issuance of writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to fill up all the vacancy of Homeguard in the district of Gaya which is existing as on today in the appointment process which is going on in pursuance to the advertisement which was published in the year 2011 and physical test made in 2023 as well as in view of the letter of Head Quarter by enhancing the post as 629 from 220 the advertised post and publish the result accordingly.

(B) Any other relief/reliefs be granted to the petitioner in the facts and circumstances of the case.”

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner informs that in respect of the relief as sought for in the present writ petition, petitioner has already filed a detailed representation and sent the same vide Speed Post on 13.07.2024. However, he finds it proper for all practical purposes to file a comprehensive representation before the Director General of Home Guard Police, Government of Bihar to consider his case of appointment as a Home Guard in terms of the recent development and decision taken by the State Government to enhance the total number of posts from 220 to 629 and in this regard in respect of other district, selection has been made in different categories following the reservation policy.

Considering the aforesaid information, the Director General of Police, Home Guard is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner and if the petitioner fulfills all the criteria in terms of advertisement No.2/2011, notified for filling up of 220 posts of Home Guards, to be filled as per the government decision for Gaya district, considering the fact that now the posts of Home-guard has been enhanced from 220 to 629, which is more than the post which was advertised then appoint him on the post of Home Guard.
