In the instant case, the widows of Chowkidars,

some of whom died after superannuation and others died inharness, applied for revision of their pay and salary so that they can be awarded ACP/MACP during their service period from the date on which they were allegedly entitled and on the basis of such grant of ACP/MACP and re-fixation of the salary, their pension-cum-death benefits may be calculated so that the petitioners may get family pension at higher rate.
