Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as

learned APP for the State.

In this case, the petitioner is seeking regular bail in connection with Khanpur P.S. Case No. 02 of 2024, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 323, 354(b), 376, 379, 385, 506/34 of the IPC.

The prosecutrix lodged FIR stating therein that the petitioner and co-accused Ankit Kumar committed rape upon her. They also made her videograph. Further, they blackmailed her and demanded Rs. 2 lakh from Mobile No. 9773852272 for deleting that videograph.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case. He is friend of co-accused Ankit Kumar. The police was making pressure upon the petitioner to disclose the whereabouts of Ankit Kumar to which he does not disclose and it was the reason for his false implication.

On the other hand, the learned APP for the State and learned counsel for the informant have opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that the prosecutrix corroborates the allegation in her statement under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C. by stating that the petitioner has committed rape upon her and blackmailed her and also demanded Rs. 2 lakh for deleting the videograph.

Considering the above-mentioned facts and circumstances, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, which is hereby rejected.
