Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P for the State.

The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered u/s 306 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, the informant's sister was married to co-accused Uttam Soni as per Hindu rites and custom. After three to four days of marriage the petitioner and co-accused persons started torturing and assaulting the informant's sister due to non-fulfillment of dowry. Later on, the petitioner and the co-accused persons strangulated the

informant's sister to death.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case. There is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioner. It is further submitted that after 22 days of marriage the informant's sister committed suicide as there was love affair of the deceased with another boy. The petitioner is the brotherin-law of the deceased. The petitioner has clean antecedent as stated in para 3 of the bail petition. The petitioner is in custody since 14.07.2021.

Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the bail petition of the petitioner.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case as well as the period of detention and the fact that there is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioner, the petitioner above-named, is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Court concerned, Gopalganj in connection with Kuchaikote P.S. Case No. 287 of 2021.
