This is an application seeking modification of the order dated 17.12.2021 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 8483 of 2021, whereby the application of the petitioner for grant of anticipatory bail was disposed off with a direction that if he surrenders before the court below and seeks bail within a period of four weeks from the date of the order, he shall be released on provisional bail.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that because of some unavoidable circumstances, he could not

surrender before the court below within the stipulated period.

For the reasons stated in the application, the prayer for extension of time for surrendering of the petitioner before the court below is allowed.

The order dated 17.12.2021, referred to above, is modified to the extent that if the petitioner surrenders before the learned court below within a period of four weeks from today, he will be accorded the privilege under the order dated 17.12.2021 on the same terms and conditions.

With the aforesaid modification, the application stands allowed.
