Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State.
The petitioner seeks regular bail in Birpur Police Station Case No. 40 of 2020 registered for the offences punishable under section 420 and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code.
As per the prosecution case, on secret information, police arrested the petitioner and his associate. From the petitioner’s room, one colour printer of Epson Company, many fake currencies, KK Excel Bond paper, Samsung mobile phone etc. were seized.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case. No incriminating material has been recovered from the

conscious possession of the petitioner. Petitioner has been made accused in the case because of his criminal antecedent as he is accused in three other cases as mentioned in paragraph 3 of the bail petition. Petitioner is in custody since 16.2.2020.
Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the petitioner is the kingpin of the racket of manufacturing of fake currency.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that there is recovery of one colour printer of Epson Company, many fake currencies, KK Excel Bond paper, Samsung mobile phone etc from the room of the petitioner and he has got criminal antecedent of similar offence, his prayer for bail is refused.
