This application for regular bail arises out of Sadar Circle Excise Case No. 5 of 2020 arising out of Special Case No. 62 of 2020, disclosing offences punishable under Sections 30(a) and 32(3) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018.
From the Tata Tiago vehicle 165.99 liters of foreign liquor and 60 liters beer was recovered by the Excise Inspector. It is the case of the prosecution that when an indication was made to stop the vehicle, an attempt was made to flee away. Subsequently, the car was intercepted, whereafter the recovery was made. The petitioner was found in the car along with the driver.
