Objection is raised by counsel for the State that petitioner has rushed this Court directly against the order of punishment withholding one annual increment of the petitioner without availing the alternative remedy of appeal. It is submitted that the writ petition is barred in view of the alternative remedy available to the petitioner.
Since none appears for the petitioner, without going into the merits of the submissions made by counsel for the State, writ petition is dismissed for want of prosecution.
