The petitioner being the father-in-law of the informant is apprehending arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498 A, 323, 504 and 506 of the IPC and under Sections ¾ of D.P. Act.

The prosecution case as the written report of Suman Kumari, submitted to the S.H.O., Mahila P.S. Patna is to the effect that the marriage of the informant was performed on 01.05.2014, with Navin Kumar, but subsequently a demand of further dowry of Rs. 50,000/- was made and due to nonfulfillment of the same torture has been inflicted upon her.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the thrust of accusation is against the husband of the

informant and the petitioner is the father-in-law of the informant and is an old person. A statement has been made in paragraph no.3 of the petition that the petitioner is not having any criminal antecedent.

Learned APP submits that the petitioner is named in

Considering the fact that the thrust of accusation is against the husband of the informant coupled with the statement made in paragraph no.3 of the petition that the petitioner is not having any criminal antecedent, let the above named petitioner be released on anticipatory bail in the event of arrest/surrender before the learned Court below within a period of twelve weeks from today, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1^st Class, Patna in connection with Mahila P.S. Case No. 82 of 2016 subject to the condition as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr. P.C.
