5 11-10-2017 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned APP appearing on behalf of the State.

Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Chandan P.S. Case No.87 of 2015, registered under Sections 406, 409, 420 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegation in brief is that the petitioner being Member Secretary of the concerned PACS, in association with the Chairman of the PACS, has embezzled government money worth approximately Rs.5,00,000/- which was revealed during auditing.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is not involved in the occurrence. She is a poor lady and she is in custody since 04.07.2016.

Court and her prayer of bail was earlier rejected by order dated 01.03.2017 with a direction to the trial court for expediting the trial and conclude the same preferably within a year, however one year has not expired, so the petitioner may renew her prayer of bail after expiry of that period.

At present, the prayer of bail of the petitioner stands rejected in connection with Chandan P.S. Case No.87 of 2015, pending before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Banka.
