Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned
counsel for the State.
In this case, prayer has been made to issue a writ of mandamus, commanding the respondents to appoint the petitioner on the post of constable in the Bihar Police (Sheohar, Lakhisarai), who applied for the said post against the Advertisement No.1 of 1998.
The petitioner is claiming that she has successfully qualified for the physical test, but finally he could not be selected.

The petitioner is challenging the advertisement published in the year 1998 and we are in 2016. After a lapse of more than 17 years, the claim of the petitioner has become a stale claim. Accordingly, this writ application is dismissed.
