2 03-11-2015 I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the

State.

It is contended on behalf of the petitioner that despite an application having been filed in the year 2009 itself for grant of arms licence, no decision has been taken as yet by the District Magistratecum-Licensing Authority, Saran at Chapra even though the petitioner has been threatened by the extremist and the same was intimated to the District Magistrate also. Even the Superintendent of Police has not sent his recommendation.

Accordingly, I dispose of the writ application directing the Superintendent of Police, Saran at Chapra to send his report

within a period of four weeks to the District Magistrate-cumLicensing Authority, Saran at Chapra, who shall take a decision upon the application of the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
