victim was recorded under Sections 164 and 161 of the Cr.P.C. and the victim was also medically examined. After investigation charge-sheet submitted, cognizance taken, case committed to the Court of Sessions. During trial, ten witnesses were examined on behalf of the prosecution. P.W. 1 Bilas Mandal, the father of the victim, P.W. 2 Ram Murti Mandal, P.W. 3 Pramila Devi, the mother of the victim, P.W. 4 Shambhu Mandal, the brother of the victim, P.W. 5 Deonandan Mandal and P.W. 6 Ghutani Devi have been tendered for cross-examination and they have not deposed anything about the alleged occurrence of this case, P.W. 7 Ranju Devi, the victim, P.W. 8 Satish Chandra Prasad is the Investigating Officer of the case, P.W. 9 Dr. Renu Chatterjee, P.W. 10 Kisun Paswan is the Constable who has formally proved Exts. 2 and 3, formal First Information Report and farbeyan of the informant. The defence has also adduced four witnesses. D.W. 1 Rajesh Kumar Singh who proved Ext. A, the counter case, D.W. 2 Siya ram Rai, D.W. 3 Ram Milan Singh and D.W. 4 Mahesh Prasad Singh. P.W. 3 Ram Milan Singh who deposed about the compromise between the parties. The learned trial court after taking into consideration the evidence convicted and sentenced the appellants as mentioned above.
