The claim in the writ application is for certain arrears of salary, the computation of which has been prepared by the Principal, C.M. College, Darbhanga and is stated to have been forwarded to the University on 24.11.2011.

Learned counsel for the University has no objection to the disposal of this application with directions that the Vice Chancellor shall ensure that the grievances of the petitioner are considered in accordance with law and the legitimate dues that the petitioner may be entitled to are paid to him.

petitioner, it carries an element of sanctity having been prepared by the Principal, the Vice Chancellor shall ensure that if the University is of the opinion otherwise, it shall furnish a detailed statement of accounts and calculations to the petitioner so that if he is aggrieved he may either represent before the University or pursue such appropriate remedies as he may be advised.

Let such consideration be done and appropriate final orders be passed to the satisfaction of the Vice Chancellor within a maximum period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

Needless to state that if the respondents find justification in the claim or in any part of the claim, necessary consequential orders along with actual physical payments shall be made during the same period failing which the petitioner shall be at liberty to claim interest the liability for which shall necessarily be individual and not institutional.
