1. Pursuant to the transfer of the investigation to the Integrated Anti-Human Trafficking Unit to be monitored by the senior officers of the District and under the direct supervision of the Superintendent of Police, Cuttack, the minor girl has been rescued.

2. The girl was found staying with the accused in a rented house and was thereafter produced before the Child Welfare Committee, Cuttack on 27^th December, 2025. The statements of the girl are recorded under Section 180 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short, ‘BNSS’) and also under Section 183 of the BNSS by the learned Judge of the Special Court under the POCSO

3. On the basis of the disclosure of the facts, the case has been registered against the accused not only under different provisions of the BNSS but also under Section 6 of the POCSO Act and the said

accused has already been apprehended. After the medical examination of the minor girl and on the basis of the overall scenario which was perceived by the CWC, she has been handed over to the parents. Undeniably, the minor girl is living with the parents as on

today. Since the girl has already been rescued and living with her

parents, we do not think that any justice would be subserved in keeping the instant writ petition pending.

4. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.

5. The letter dated 30^th December, 2025 of the Superintendent of Police, Cuttack produced in Court today by the learned Additional Government Advocate is taken on record.
