The present writ petition has been filed assailing the communication dated 25.02.2026 at Annexure-6 issued by the Secretary-cum-Chief Electoral Officer by the order of Chairman Odisha State Bar Council addressed to the President/Secretary, Narasinghpur Bar Association, Narasinghpur, Cuttack, inter alia, intimating that the prayer of the Petitioner to add their names to the

Electoral Roll of Narasinghpur Bar Association stands rejected for the grounds stated therein.

It is submitted by Mr. Patnaik, learned counsel for the Opposite Party No.2-Odisha State Bar Council that since the process of electing the office bearers of the concerned Bar Association for the term 2026-27 is already over, the writ petition has been rendered infructuous.

Such submission is opposed by Mr. Samantaray, learned Senior Counsel for the Petitioners.

Considering the rival submission, the writ petition is disposed of giving liberty to the Petitioners to take such appropriate steps deemed necessary, to tide over the grounds of rejection stated in the impugned communication at Annexure-6.

In the event such motion is made on behalf of the Petitioners, the same shall be considered by the Odisha State Bar Council independently without being prejudiced by the earlier communication dated 25.02.2026 of Odisha State Bar Council at Annexure6, which was impugned in the present writ application. 7. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of.
