Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The present Writ Petition has been filed by the Petitioner with the following prayer:

“It is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to admit this writ petition and issue Notice to Opp.parties call for the records and after hearing the parties this Hon'ble Court may direct the Tahasildar Sonepur to settle the Govt. land bearing Khata No.1 it's plot No. 4077 area Ac0.15 dec. Mouza-Sonepur Tahasil/District - Sonepur, under section 8 (A) of OLR Act. in favour of the petitioners in the interest of justice.”

During the course of hearing, learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that an encroachment proceeding vide Encroachment Case No.120/1992 has been initiated by the Tahasildar, Sonepur since 1992. The said encroachment case has not yet been disposed of till today.

Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the Petitioner, this Writ Petition stands disposed of with a direction to the Opposite Party No.4/Tahasildar, Sonepur to ensure early disposal of the Encroachment Case No.120 of 1992 preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
