This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

The Petitioner by way of this writ petition has prayed for the following relief:-

“(i) why a direction shall not be issued to Opp. Party to quash the award dated 26.10.2025 passed by the learned Insurance Ombudsman in Complaint No. BHU-G-042-2526-0097 under Annexure-6.”

Heard, Mr. Prasanta Kumar Mahali, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. Zenith Naik, learned counsel for the Opposite Party in the matter and perused the record.

It is, however, not disputed that both the parties have entered into compromise and accordingly, a compromise petition containing the signature of authorized representative of Shriram General Insurance and Opposite Party has been filed. It is, however, ascertained from the learned counsel for the parties that there is no coercion or undue influence in entering into compromise between the parties who have entered into

compromise by signing the compromise petition. It appears that the compromise is lawful and the same has been arrived at without any undue influence or coercion and the matter is accordingly settled at Rs. 4,70,000/towards full and final settlement and the Shriram General Insurance, Co. Ltd. would pay Rs. 4,70,000/- to the OP-Manoranjan Kamila towards full and final settlement.

In the result, the writ petition accordingly stands disposed of on compromise and the compromise petition do form part of the order. Accordingly, the Shriram General Insurance, Co. Ltd. would pay Rs. 4,70,000/- to the OP-Manoranjan Kamila within eight week hence and the aforesaid amount would be disbursed to the Opposite Party in terms of the order passed by the Ombudsman under Annexure-6.
