1. The petitioner has filed the instant writ petition with the

following prayers:

“It is therefore, prayed that this Hon’ble Court may graciously be pleased to admit this PIL writ petition, issue RULE NISI calling upon the Opposite Parties to show cause why appropriate actions should not be initiated against the Opposite Party No.4 for the act of assuming Presidency of Opposite Party No.5, a city-based social club, the Bhubaneswar Club, which is a company incorporated under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 1956, while being the sitting Chairman of the OERC, thereby constituting contravention of the provisions of the Orissa State

Electricity Reform Act, 1995, and the Electricity Act, 2003 and if the opposite parties fail to show cause or show insufficient cause, the said rule be made absolute in granting the reliefs prayed for;

And may further be pleased to pass any other order(s) as deemed fit and proper; And for this act of kindness the petitioner shall as in duty bound ever pray;

And pass any other or further order(s) as deemed just and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case.”
