1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.

2. The petitioner has filed the present petition,

inter alia , seeking the following relief:-

“It is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to admit the Writ Application, issue notice to the Opp. Parties and after hearing the parties, issue appropriate direction(s) to the Opp. Parties to sanction and disburse the legitimate entitlement to the Petitioner in pursuant to the order dated 17.05.2019 passed by the learned court of Permanent Lok Adalat (PUS) Kalahandi-Nuapada, At: Bhawanipatna in P.L.A. Case No. 52 of 2018 for his active engagement in excavation of farm pond under the scheme "The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005”.

It is contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner that under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005, the petitioner was engaged for excavation of a farm pond at villageBijkhaman under Kesinga Police Station, under the instructions and direct supervision of opposite party Nos.3 and 4. After completion of the work, necessary measurements and verifications were duly carried out, and the order-sheet as well as the first and final bill were prepared in the name of the petitioner, annexed as Annexure-1 series. It is further submitted that the first and final bill was prepared and signed by the Block Development Officer, Kesinga who is designated as the Programee Officer of NREGA/OREGS. However, despite completion of all the formalities, the final payment has not yet been disbursed. Therefore, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 28.08.2023. However, the opposite party No.2 has not paid any heed to the representation made by the petitioner. Hence, he has approached this Court.

Regard being had to the averments made in the petition and the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the opposite party No.2 to address the grievance of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law. This Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
