Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayer:-

“It is, therefore, prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to admit this writ application, issue Rule NISI in the nature of a writ of mandamus/certiorari calling upon the Opp. Party authorities as to why they shall not be directed to restore the Satwa of the land of the Petitioner to Stitiban in the ROR, within a stipulated time period.

And if the Opp. Parties fail to show cause or show insufficient cause, the said Rule be made absolute and the 0pp. Party authorities be directed to restore the Satwa of the land of the Petitioner to Stitiban in the ROR, within a stipulated time period.

And further be pleased to pass any other order/ orders, direction/directions, writ/writs as deemed fit and proper;

And for this act of kindness, the petitioner shall as in duty bound and ever pray”

It is stated at the bar that the case of the petitioner is covered by the judgment rendered by this Court recently in the case of Gargi Dash v. State of Odisha & Others [W.P.(C) No.2870 of 2026] & Batch.

Considering the submissions as above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Tahasildar, Bhubaneswar to consider the prayer of the petitioner in light of the aforementioned judgment of this Court. A decision in this regard shall be taken within six weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order by the petitioner.
