1. By the present Criminal Revision, the petitioner has assailed the judgment dated 25.08.2009 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, F.T.C. No.4, Bhubaneswar in Criminal Appeal No.21/2 of 2008 whereby the judgment of conviction and the order of sentence passed by learned J.M.F.C., Bhubaneswar in I.C.C. No.5814 of 2004 has been upheld. The learned Courts below have directed the petitioner to pay the compensation of Rs.80,000/- as against the dishonor of the cheque of Rs.46,000/-.

2. Vide order dated 24.06.2013, this Court has stayed the realization of the total compensation amount of Rs.80,000/subject to the petitioner depositing Rs.50,000/- before the learned trial Court. Again, the petitioner moved an application for extension of time, which was allowed by this Court vide order dated 29.10.2014.

3. Ms. Dei, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has no instruction as to whether Rs.50,000/- has already been deposited or not. Ms. Dei, learned counsel further submits that as per her instruction, the opposite party has already died in the meantime. But no document is available with her regarding the same.

4. An attempt was made to settle the dispute in the 2^nd National Lok Adalat on 9^th May, 2026. But unfortunately, none of the parties have appeared before the said National Lok Adalat. This case is arising out of a complaint case initiated by the respondent under section 138 NI Act and since last more than two decades the case has been prolonging to be finally concluded.

5. Since this Criminal Revision is pending since 2009 and it is arising out of I.C.C. Case No.5814 of 2004, I am not inclined to entertain the request of the petitioner for further adjournment in this matter.

6. Hence, the CRLREV is dismissed.
