This CRLMP has been filed for a direction to the learned JMFC, Chandabali to dispose of 1CC Case No. 08 of 2024 expeditiously within a time frame fixed by this Court.

Mr. Saroj Kumar Routray, learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that on the information of the Petitioner regarding mur4der of his son Chandabali P.S. Case No. 314 of 2023 was registered on 15.10.2023. Dissatisfied with the investigation, the Petitioner had filed 1CC Case No. 08 of 2024 before the learned JMFC, Chandabali. On 19.02.2024, report had been called for from the IIC, Chandabali and posted to 01.05.2024 awaiting report.

Mr. Routray, learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the subsequent orders passed by the Court after 19.02.2024 have not been annexed, but he has filed the copy of the case status downloaded from the e-Court’s website which indicates that on 01.05.2024, 11.09.2024, 07.03.2025, 04.09.2025 and 17.03.2026, the case has been adjourned awaiting report and now the case is posted

In the case of Registrar (Judicial), Orissa High Court, Cuttack vrs. Manoranjan Kumbhar, IIC, Bisra Police Station, Rourkela in CONTC No. 2824 of 2026, this Court found that the IIC of different Police Stations all over the State are not complying with or responding to orders passed by different Courts in the State of Odisha for which a direction has been issued to the Director General of Police, to issue suitable instructions/ directions to his Sub-ordinate Officers to comply with orders of the Courts.
