The present CRLMC has been filed by the Petitioner with the following prayer:

“The Petitioner therefore prays that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to admit this petition, call for the records of C.T. Case No.2548 of 2024 and hearing both parties be pleased to issue suitable directions for taking voice samples of other co-accused persons also for comparison with the voices that are recorded in the seized cell phone of accused Deepak;”

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner being the informant in the present case, is aggrieved by the order dated 05.01.20216 passed by the learned S.D.J.M., Jajpur in C.T.

Case No.2548 of 2024, directing the Investigating Officer to collect the voice sample of accused named Deepak Kumar Jena @ Mantu alone on 16.01.2026 and send the same for SFSL, Bhubaneswar for examination. However, the voice samples of the other co-accused persons have not been collected, which is likely to cause prejudice to the Petitioner. It is, therefore, contended that, for a fair and proper investigation and for effective comparison with the voice recordings available in the seized mobile phone of accused Deepak Kumar Jena @ Mantu, the voice samples of the other coaccused persons should also be collected. Hence, he seeks for a direction from this Court for taking voice sample from the other co-accused persons for better appreciation of the case.

Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the Petitioner, the prayer made in the present CRLMC is allowed. The learned S.D.J.M., Jajpur is directed to obtain the voice samples of the other co-accused persons and compared the same with the voice contained in the seized mobile phone of accused Deepak Kumar Jena @ Mantu.
