1. The writ petition in the nature of the habeas corpus was

filed by the petitioner being one of the parents alleging that despite

the complaint having lodged for missing of the minor daughter, no steps have been taken by the police administration. On 7^th May,

¶19

2025, this Court directed the Superintendent of Police (SP) Nayagarh, to monitor all the actions required to be taken by the police administration and shall ensure that no stone is left unturned.

2. Mrs. Suman Pattanayak, learned Additional Government Advocate appearing on behalf of State-opposite parties hands over the instructions received from the IIC, Ranpur P.S. The written instruction revealed that the girl has been rescued from the custody

of the accused and after recording of her statement under Section 183 of the BNSS, 2023 and medical examinations having undertaken, she is put into her parental custody. The case has been registered against the accused and the appropriate steps as required under the law shall be taken.

3. The Investigating Officer (IO) is undertaking the investigations so that the Justice may be extended to the minor victim girl. Since the girl has already been rescued and living with the parents, we do not find any point in directing the production of the minor girl before this Court in the instant writ petition.

4. The writ petition is thus, disposed of.
