Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned counsel appearing for the Opp. Parties.

Petitioner has filed the present writ petition inter alia with the following prayer:-

“In the circumstances, stated above it is humbly prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be graciously pleased to admit writ application, issue notice to the Opp. Parties, and after hearing the parties, be pleased to direct the Opp. Parties to release the victim compensation amount to the petitioner under the Victim Compensation within stipulated time period for the interest of justice.

And pass any other order(s) as this Hon'ble Court deem fit and proper.

And for which act of kindness, the petitioner as in duty bound shall ever pray.”

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that though highlighting his grievances, Petitioner has filed an application to get the benefit of

victim compensation at Annexure-2 to the Writ Petition before the Opp. Party No. 4, but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, learned counsel for the Petitioner prays that a direction be issued to Opposite Party No. 4 to take a decision on the above noted Petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs Opposite Party No. 4 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law, within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the Petitioner.

The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
