The sole grievance of the Petitioner in the present writ petition is the inaction of Opposite Party No.3-The Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Puri in taking a final decision on the letter dated 30.10.2024 of the Opposite Party No.4-Block Development Officer, Kanas.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner contended that with regard to the construction/renovation of a temple, the work order was assigned in favour of the present Petitioner. He further contended that although the work has been completed, however, no final payment has been made. Learned counsel for the Petitioner further contended that Opposite Party No.4-Block Development Officer, Kanas although has recommended to the Opposite Party No.3-The Chief Development Officercum-Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Puri, however the same has not been considered as of now.

Learned counsel for the State, on the other hand, contended that in the event no decision has been taken on

the letter dated 30.10.2024 under Annexure-6 to the writ petition, he will have no objection in the event this Court directs the Opposite Party No.3-The Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Puri to take a decision on the letter dated 30.10.2024 under Annexure-6 to the writ petition in accordance with law within a stipulated period of time.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing for the respective parties and on a careful examination of the materials on record, further keeping in view the limited nature of grievance involved in the present writ petition, this Court deems it proper to dispose of the writ petition at the stage of admission by directing the Opposite Party No.3-The Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Puri, to take a final decision on the letter dated 30.10.2024 under Annexure-6 to the writ petition within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order. The decision so taken be communicated to the Petitioner within ten days thereafter.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, the writ petition stands disposed of.
