The short grievance of the Petitioner is as to nonconsideration of his representation dated 18.12.2024, a copy whereof avails at Annexure-17, wherein he has requested OP No.2the Director to extend to him the UGC pay-scale and pay the arrears in the light of decision of this Court in W.P.(C) No.26692 of 20211 between Samarendra Nayak and Others v. Union of India and others disposed off on 18.04.2022. The said decision has been affirmed by the Apex Court in Special Leave Petition (Civil) Dairy No.22626 of 2022 dismissed on 10.10.2022.

Learned ASC-Mr. Ray appearing for OPs very fairly agrees that he would instruct his clients to look into the grievance of the Petitioner, as has been projected in the subject representation in a time bound way and in accordance with law keeping in view the decision in Samarendra Nayak supra , if all contentions are kept open. Counsel for the Petitioner is agreeable with this fair proposal.

In view of the above, writ petition is disposed off fixing a period of eight weeks for consideration of the subject representation and to inform the Petitioner result of such consideration in writing. All contentions are kept open.

It is open to the answering OPs to solicit any information or documents from the side of the Petitioner, as required for taking a decision on the subject representation. However, in that guise delay shall not be brooked.

Now, no costs.
