In this Writ Petition, the Petitioner seeks a direction from this Court to the Opposite Party/Divisional Forest Officer-cumAuthorized Officer, Bonai Forest Division, Bonai to dispose of the proceeding i.e. UDC No.05 K of 2022-23/Offence Report No.46 K of 2022-23.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner is the owner of the vehicle bearing Registration No.OR-14-B-9629 seized by the Koira Forest Range on the allegation of illegal transportation of Murum. He further submits that the Petitioner

has filed an application before the Opposite Party for releasing the aforesaid vehicle on 22.03.2023. However, till date neither the application of the Petitioner has been disposed of nor has any step been taken by the Opposite Party to release the vehicle in favour of the Petitioner.

In such view of the matter and considering the innocuous prayer of the Petitioner in the Writ Petition, this Court directs the Opposite Party/ Divisional Forest Officer-cum-Authorized Officer, Bonai Forest Division, Bonai to dispose of the proceeding i.e. UDC No.05 K of 2022-23/Offence Report No.46 K of 2022-23 within a period of one month from the date of production/presentation of a certified copy of this order.
