Learned AGA appearing for the opposite parties submits that this petition has become infructuous in the light of completion of the Cyclone Shelter Structures more than 23 years ago and therefore, the same be accordingly disposed off. He has also placed on record a copy of Letter No.3364 dated 24.09.2025 issued by the Block Development Officer, Mahakalpara to his Office, which reads as under:-

“With reference subject cited above, I am to say that the Baidihi GP has been bifurcated in the year 2016 and new GP Kansar badadandua GP has been created. The Cyclone Shelter in question is now coming udner Kansar Badadandua GP.

The multipurpose cyclone shelter near Kansara Tarapada M.E. School is completed and handed over since 23 years back. Now, it is being used by the community in times of Disaster.”

Mr.H.S.Mishra, learned counsel for the petitioners is not in a position to say anything on the contents of the said letter since the matter is very old and he could not immediately establish contact for conference with his clients.

In the above circumstances, no purpose would be served by keeping the matter pending just to languish it in Court’s cupboard for years to come again.

In view of the above, petition is disposed off as having become infructuous reserving liberty to the petitioners to seek for its revival by moving an appropriate application, if the contents of the subject letter, referred to above, are not true and correct.
