1. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and the State.

By means of this application, the Petitioner seeks the intervention of this Court for a direction to the Opposite Party to register the F.I.R. and proceed with the investigation pursuant to the complaint dated 17.01.2025 which is alleged to have been submitted with the IIC, Bhadrak Town P.S. through post. The postal receipt in token of sending that complaint has been filed along with the application.

Learned counsel for the State has placed the written instruction of the IIC, Bhadrak Town P.S. dated 16.07.2025 wherein it is informed that earlier complaint of the Petitioner has having registered as Bhadrak Town P.S. Case No.148 of 2024, the investigation proceeded and chargesheet has been submitted since 30.04.2024.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that despite the fact that the complaint has been lodged since 17.01.2025 and for the inaction the matter was brought to the notice of the Superintendent of Police, Bhadrak no action has been initiated as yet.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts and circumstances, it is directed that the IIC, Bhadrak Town P.S. if has received the complaint, shall examine the same and in case a prima facie case is made out to register the same and proceed with the investigation in accordance with law.
