1. Heard learned counsel for the Parties.

By means of this application, the Petitioner seeks the intervention of this Court for a direction to Opposite Party No.2 to complete the investigation in connection with Basta P.S. Case No.127 of 2025.

Learned counsel for the State, on the other hand, has placed on record the written instruction of the I.I.C., Basta P.S., wherein it is stated that the investigation in connection with Basta P.S. Case No.127 of 2025 was duly taken up. During the course of investigation, it was ascertained that one Jyotshnarani Mohapatra is the daughter of Jemamani Mohapatra and Narayan Chandra Mohapatra of village Katikata, Kajibag, P.S.-Mangalpur,

District–Jajpur, and that the complainant/Petitioner Jayanta Bej is the son of Purusottam Bej of village Tentulia, P.S.–Basta. It further reveals that, pursuant to their love relationship, Jayanta married Jyotshnarani on 05.03.2023 at Biraja Temple, whereafter they lived together as husband and wife at the place of posting of the Petitioner.

However, after some months, it was alleged that Jayanta Bej and his brother subjected Jyotshnarani to physical and mental cruelty, as a result of which she was driven out of the matrimonial home on 20.04.2023. Consequently, she lodged a report at Bhanjapur P.S., which was registered as Bhanjapur P.S. Case No.116 of 2023 under Sections 498-A/323/506/427/34 of the IPC against the Petitioner, his brother, and their mother. The said case was investigated and culminated in submission of a charge-sheet. Since then, Jyotshnarani has been residing at her parental house.

It further appears that, as a counter-blast to the aforesaid Bhanjapur P.S. Case No.116 of 2023, the present Petitioner lodged a report which was registered as Basta P.S. Case No.127 of 2025. Upon investigation, the said case has been concluded with submission of a Final

Report vide Basta P.S. F.F. No.125 of 2025 dated 10.08.2025. The written instruction is taken on record.

In view of the aforesaid written instruction, the Petitioner is at liberty to approach the jurisdictional Magistrate by filing an appropriate complaint for redressal, if so advised. The CRLMP is accordingly disposed of.
