1. This is an application for modification of the judgment dated 11.11.2025 passed in CRA No.302 of 1996, whereby this Court has directed the appellants to deposit the fine amount of Rs.10,000/- as compensation within one month to be disbursed to the injured Basanta Kumar Sahu.

2. Learned counsel for the appellants submits that the injured Basanta Kumar Sahu has already expired. Therefore, the fine amount cannot be disbursed in accordance with Section 357 of the Cr. P.C. Hence, he seeks for modification of the said judgment.

3. Regard being had to the submissions made by the learned counsel for the appellants, since the injured Basanta Kumar Sahu has expired, as submitted by

learned counsel for the appellants, paragraph-13 of the judgment passed in CRA No.302 of 1996, is modified and in place of “The said amount shall be disbursed to the injured, Basanta Kumar Sahu”, the same be read as “The said amount shall be disbursed to the legal heirs of the injured Basanta Kumar Sahu” in accordance with Section 357 of the Cr. P.C. The rest part of the judgment remains unaltered.

4. Accordingly, one months’ time from today is allowed to the appellants to deposit the fine amount of Rs.10,000/- to be disbursed to the legal heirs of the injured Basanta Kumar Sahu in accordance with Section 357 of the Cr. P.C.

5. With the aforementioned modification, the I.A. is accordingly disposed of.
