Heard Mr. K.K. Rout, learned counsel for the Petitioner, Mr. G. Tripathy, learned Additional Government Advocate for the State-Opposite Party and Mr. N.K. Sahu, learned counsel for the Informant.

The Petitioner has prayed for his release on bail under Section 482 of the BNSS. He is an accused in connection with Bharatpur P.S. Case No.336 dated 22.6.2025 initially registered for alleged commission of offences under Sections 318(4)/324(2)/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and subsequently the offences under Sections 336(2)/336(3)/340(2) have been added in course of investigation.

As per the allegations, the Petitioner in connivance with the co-accused has forged the rent agreement in the name of the informant to run a restaurant and obtained food license thereof.

less than seven years and triable by Judicial Magistrate First Class. He further submits that the co-accused, namely Ranjan Kumar Rout, who is the father of present Petitioner, has been released on bail in the meantime by the court of JMFC, Bhubaneswar in C.T. No.1046 of 2025. As such, Mr. Rout prays to release the Petitioner on pre-arrest bail under Section 482 of the BNSS.

Upon hearing all the parties and taking note of the gravity of the offences alleged and the materials collected in course of the investigation, I am not inclined to release the Petitioner on anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the BNSS pending investigation.
