This matter is taken up today in the 1^st National Lok Adalat through Hybrid Mode for settlement on the basis of compromise.

Heard learned counsel for the Appellant and learned counsel for the Respondents.

This appeal has been filed by the Appellant-Insurance Company.

As agreed to, the amount of compensation is settled at Rs.18,50,000/- (Rupees Eighteen Lakhs Fifty Thousand) only with interest @ 6% from the date of filing of the claim application. The compromise sheet signed by both the parties/their authorized representatives is taken on record.

Learned 2^nd M.A.C.T., Cuttack, is called upon to apportion the aforesaid agreed amount as per the award proportionately among the claimant(s). The awarded amount

shall be deposited before the Learned 2^nd M.A.C.T., Cuttack, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt/production of this order.

As the case is disposed of in the spirit of the Lok Adalat, no court fee is liable to be paid by the claimant(s).

On submission of the receipt evidencing such deposit before the Learned 2^nd M.A.C.T., Cuttack, the statutory deposit along with accrued interest thereon shall be refunded in favour of the Appellant-Insurance Company expeditiously.
