This matter is taken up today in the 4^th National Lok Adalat.

The learned Member 2^nd M.A.C.T.(SD), Berhampur vide judgment dated 10.12.2019 passed in MAC Case No. 21 of 2017 (17/2016-GDC) had directed the respondent no.2 to pay an amount of Rs.1,25,000/- (Rupees one lakh Twenty five thousand) only to the Appellant-Claimant alongwith interest at the rate of 7% per annum from the date of filing i.e. 06.01.2016 till its full payment within a period of 30 days from the date of award.

This appeal has been filed by the claimant for enhancement of

the awarded amount.

Memo of compromise signed by Mr. P. K. Mishra, learned counsel and Ms. R. Pati, learned counsel is available in the record.

They have agreed that a consolidated amount of Rs.2,00,000/(Rupees Two lakh only) which includes interest shall be paid by the insurance company to the Appellant-Claimant within a period of eight weeks in full and final satisfaction of the claim.

It is therefore directed that the respondent no.2-insurance company shall deposit the aforesaid consolidated amount of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees Two lakh only) within a period of eight weeks from today before the Tribunal.

As the settlement is arrived at before the National Lok Adalat,

no court fee shall be levied.

The MACA is accordingly disposed of.
