another wife and four children. After the death of the Government employee, namely, Dhruba Charan Choudhury, the family pension was released in favour of both wives of the deceased Government employee, i.e. the present Petitioner, namely, Jaya Kumari Choudhury and another lady, namely, Bishnupriya Choudhury by distributing the family pension amount equally among the two wives. Since 1992 the Petitioner and the above named Bishnupriya Choudhury were getting the family pension @ 50% each, which was being credited to their respective savings bank account on the basis of PPO bearing No.1339 of 2000. While the matter stood thus, the Opposite Party No.6 vide Memo dated 21.05.2003 directed the Petitioner to submit the documents for the purpose of revision of pension. Pursuant to such memo of Opposite Party No.6, the Petitioner in a good faith submitted the original PPO along with her letter dated 4.6.2003 and other relevant documents as sought for by the Pension Sanctioning Authority (PSA). The General Manager of the Corporation, Opposite Party No.4 vide his letter dated 10.4.2006 intimated the Under Secretary of the concerned Department that the Corporation has released the pensionary benefits in favour of both the widows of Ex-Government employee vide PPO bearing No.1339 of 2000 and payment was being made @ 50% to each of them. The Opposite Party No.1 was also informed that both the widows have no objection in sharing the family pension amount, particularly the above named Bishnupriya Choudhury, who happens to be the first wife of deceased Government employee. On such basis and with the concurrence of the Department, the PSA gave sanction for payment of family pension @ 50% to both the widows and, accordingly, the pension papers were forwarded to the office of the Accountant General, Odisha.
